Monty was entered in a fun match yesterday – it’s a practice dog show.
He got a first in breed (okay, so he was the only Golden entered).
Then he got a sporting dog group 1st!! (okay so he only beat one other dog – a 3 month old cocker).
He did really really well. We didn’t win for best puppy or best in show, but that’s okay. It was good practise for the shows he is entered in on the May long weekend.

It was so great to see you both in The Sault last week and what a fine boy you are MONTY…SO GROWN SINCE cHRISTMAS BUT YOU’RE ACTING LIKE A KID YET…. I guess you are still a puppy, wish I had some of your energy.
You both seem delighted with each other anyway.
