The camera and I took a walk around the yard this evening. The snow is mostly gone and the lake is partially thawed!

Here is the house – ignore the Christmas lights and discarded Christmas tree – we’ll get to it soon now that it might REALLY be spring!

I was standing on the edge of the front lawn taking photos and looking at the lake and didn’t even realize right away that I was standing right beside a bunny!

We have lots of wood left. I’m still putting a fire on every evening and again in the morning. It is a lot easier to open a window to cool off a room than to try to get the house warm if I don’t keep a fire going every night. We got 8.5 cords last year. We were told we’d probably use 6 but we knew that with our icy driveway we better get more than we thought we’d need just in case. There is probably >2 cords left.

I noticed this little dude on the grass!

He was alive, but seemed to be sleeping. I think he woke up from hibernation a little too early!

Most of the snow is out of the woods now. This is a ditch that helps divert water coming down the hill behind us over to a nearby creek.

Here is the view of our house from the south.
