I just took seventy-something photos of Zeus – just to make sure I remember him always 🙂

Here are some of the best ones.

See his shaved neck?

I really had the blues yesterday at work, thinking I had to make a decision before the vet closed for the long weekend. When he isn’t eating or drinking, should I force him? Is that prolonging any suffering? Should I help him eat and drink while the tumour is shrinking (maybe) from the prednisone? Is he eating and drinking when I’m not watching? How else has he lasted all week?

We went shopping for a few things in New Glasgow and when we came back he greeted us at the door like always. He was drinking water out of the water bowl. He was scratching his front paws on the life jackets in the hallway like he always would. He even put Monty in his place once.

He seems to rally a few hours after his prednisone dose, and is quiet and still in the mornings.

He doesn’t seem to be in pain, like he was that first night a week ago, when I knew something was wrong. That night he was grumbly and growly and hiding from us, and he hasn’t done that since.

==Update==

Zeus is almost completely back to normal today! He ate some soft cat food all on his own and is drinking and is following me around 🙂
