I moved the hummingbird feeder to the garden outside my office window yesterday (only because that was the only place I could find ground soft enough to sink the pole into the ground enough to keep it upright).

I like watching hummingbirds in the rain so I just went outside for a bit to see if I could get any good shots.

Nothing that remarkable, but here are a few:

There were two hummingbirds fighting but I couldn’t focus fast enough to capture that. And the red throated dude wouldn’t sit still enough for his photo.

Then I got some ridiculous idea that it would be fun to photograph a snake in the rain. (I should be medicated for such an idea.) So I went to snakeland – the area of Jeff’s new shed. I didn’t have to even walk up the path to the shed. I found a snake almost immediately (I don’t go to Jeff’s shed unless the ground is white and frozen because it is snakeland).

Thank goodness the ugly terrifying creature didn’t move.
