Happy New Year 2015!

This morning when I was outside dumping out the ashes, I tried to see if I could coax a chickadee to snack out of my hand.

I did it! But he didn’t linger and my finger was way too slow on the camera trigger. He just grabbed some seeds as he flew away.

Then a couple hours later this neighbourhood cat came slinking up the driveway with the birdfeeder and chickadees in sight.

We spent the first afternoon of 2015 in the woods. Jeff was bunny hunting, and Monty and I were just making a lot of noise so the bunnies could live another day 🙂

Afterwards, I fed the wood stove, stripped down to my long underwear, and fell asleep on the couch for a nap 🙂
