Remember when we spent $140 on Nyjer seed for the redpolls? Yeah well they ate it all.

And demanded more.

And our Hardware Store can’t get any in from the supplier, it’s back ordered!

So I’ve been ordered it from Canadian Tire and having it shipped up from Whitehorse. $20 a bag. That’s just the shipping charge. Each.

And I’ve done it three times.

I’m pretty sure we’re now feeding every redpoll in the Yukon.

Will spring come soon so they’ll fly north to their breeding grounds? I’m down to half a bag again.
