Day off work, and Jeff was up at 5 o’clock eager to fish.
I delayed him until closer to 9 and we went for a ride! It was cold and foggy but we set out on the lake for the first time. Here are some photos:
3 layers, a fleece toque, and 2 hoods!
Thanks to Brian and Leanne for the waterproof bag they got us for Christmas! We put the camera, binoculars, and fishing licenses in it.
Jeff set up his fish finder. The lake is all about 150 feet deep with a few fish at the very bottom.
We’re planning to go back out this afternoon when the sun comes out!

a dream come true! Were there any other boats to be seen out this early in the year?? Is the fisherman going to fish on his birthday??? Good thing you had your licenses with you…never know when you might meet up with an officer!
Lisa
The fishing season opened yesterday so we saw the first couple of boats out yesterday.
No one was out when we were this morning, but we just saw a boat go by a few minutes ago.
Our ShamWow flew out of the boat on the drive back to the house, so I screamed back down the road in the car to find it. I did!! Can’t lose the ShamWow!

Thanks for the pics of Jeff,
I am happy that you went out for a boat ride this morning- and I am impressed that you got him to wait until closer to 9! Glad it floats and I wonder if we there should be a bet about how many hours you two will be in the boat this weekend?
Brian
I’m glad the bag worked out.
I’d like a picture of your house from the lake, and a picture of the first fish, and said fish on the bbq.
Have fun.
