This was the post office in the 40’s, 50’s’ and 60’s, then became a shed, and we tore it down before 2010. It had been a customs house when Maitland was in it’s heyday, moved to this site from a few building up the road, when my ancestor had been the customs agent. I am a descendant of the Roys, of Frieze & Roy, and owned the business until 2003.
