I’ve had an amazing June!

My job wrapped up last Monday.  It’s been a quick transition into working from home. I LOVE working from home. I can start as early as I want, work hard on things I care about, be surrounded by my comfort zone, pop a load of laundry in on a bathroom break, do a sink load of dishes when lunch is cooking, and then aim to wrap up by the time Jeff is home at 4:30pm (didn’t do so well with that part this past week).

I’m working on a few interesting new projects. Also been wrapping up a few client projects I’ve had on the go for a bit, including a new site design, and the migration of a couple WordPress and Joomla sites.

WordCamp Montreal 2013Next weekend I’m heading to WordCamp Montreal.  I’m ridiculously excited! I’ve never met WordPress enthusiasts in person (WordPress is the software that powers this blog). There are so many attendees I’m eager to meet, and several people are speaking that I’ve followed online for years.  What a great opportunity to dive deeper into blogging, web development, WordPress, and  to socialize with like minded people 🙂  I’m going to stay in Montreal a couple extra days and help out at a WordPress workshop for women too.

Jeff’s parents are coming to visit this week and next.  Our first visitors of summer 2013! Good thing we have patio furniture now! We don’t have any plans yet, but they’ve got a bunch of little adventures planned and they’ll spend some time with us before I go to Montreal and after I get back.

Here’s to an even better July!  (which is rumoured to include a NASCAR race!)
