Here are some pictures from around the neighbourhood the last couple of weeks:
With another heavy frost this morning, our leaves are mostly off the trees now. We had snow on Sunday (that melted shortly after). Last Friday it was so foggy mid-morning that the ferry didn’t cross the river for a few hours!
Jeff’s been busy smoking up a storm! Jalapeño and cheddar moose sausages, smoked brisket, and smoked pork chops!
The pork loins were brined for 2 weeks before they hit the smoker last night! They sliced up into 30 thick boneless chops!
On the weekend we invited some friends over and we cooked up corn bread, baked beans, and mac and cheese to go with the smoked brisket! Jeff also made some coleslaw and our friend Alex made some sort of incredible chocolate pudding dish that was topped when served with a maraschino cherry. Out of this world! Kyle also shook up a bbq inspired cocktail that smelled amazing!
