Our sweet little Sally just did not want to leave us. Five weeks and 4 days after she stopped eating, we took her to John, our vet, to help her on her way.
And she didn’t want to go.
She needed several doses from the vet because she was content to never leave. And I was too.
She was always the sweetest, gentlest thing. Well, maybe not when I first caught her and her brother. They were completely wild. I needed barbeque gloves to touch them!
But they came around. We found her brother (we called him Steve French) a home, and Sally stayed with us. For 16.5 years!
Well, except for that year she lived with my generous sister Julie when we couldn’t have two pets in our government housing when we first moved to the Yukon. (Thanks Julie!!)

I remember those soft little paws touching our face in our sleep when she was a kitten.
So gentle, but man could she snore!
I’m just going to leave you with a whole mess of photos here because I’m a bit lost for memorable words. I miss this cat terribly already.

I’ll love you forever Sally. I’m so glad your mom picked our porch to hide you under.

Farewell little Sally!
>
Oh, Lisa, I’m so sorry. What a beautiful cat she was, and beautiful in spirit, too. You were so lucky to have her for so long, but that can make it even harder to say goodbye. Big virtual hugs. 🤗🤗🤗
Lisa, I’m so sorry to hear of Sally’s passing. She certainly did it her way.
Love Linda 💔😞
I’m sorry for your loss!
