I’m so neglectful with my blogging. I draft all my stories in my head and then run out of time and I don’t get my fingers to follow through on the keys!
I’ll do a catch up post and photo dump soon (sure I will!), but let’s start with yesterday!
We went from a cool spring, to summer! Hot temperatures, smoke advisories (smoke from BC), and thunderstorm warnings. It was time to get the boat wet!
But first thing, I was oddly not eager to scorch my skin, which is unlike me. Who doesn’t like a good early season sunburn. So I dug out my sunproof fishing shirt, sun hat, and sunproof quick-dry pants. So stylish! (I look like a senior citizen (no offence).)

Our friend Ags has her parents up for a visit so we invited their whole family for a river cruise!
First we went for a quick spin to make sure everything was in order.

It was maybe the busiest I’ve ever seen the waterfront! Must be a hot summer day that coincided with Father’s Day! Boats were launching and heading out in every direction!

We loaded everyone up in life jackets and then headed up river! This picture looks like an action shot from a movie!

We went searching for a creek that shares our friend’s father’s name, and we found it!
Just a little thing, outputting its trickle of water behind this little berm.

I’m so glad I covered my skin like a smart person because the sun was HOT! There are always chilly spots though when the wind is on you on the river, so we always throw a blanket in the boat too.

That’s it, more soon!
