Jeff, Hank, and I are hunkering down in our new truck camper in the Pelly Crossing Campground, just off the Klondike Highway.
It’s a nice and convenient campground. Free too! No services and the outhouses are old but fresh new gravels pads and roads!!

We are doing our absolute best to try to stay orderly in here, but a truck camper is not that big! I think it’ll take a couple days until everything finds its home.
We keep bumping our heads and elbows and knees. We’ll figure it out… right!?

We converted the dinette to a bed tonight and Hank is sleeping there. It’s a hot evening (26C) but hopefully it cools down. I’m starting to feel a slight cool breeze now as it approaches 11pm. Of course it is still bright and sunny and the skylight above us feels like a lamp is on it is so bright.
Yesterday- last day of work
Yesterday was my last day of work until October.
I had a lovely lunch out treat with my friends Janet and Tarie on the Triple J patio. Beautiful weather!

Last night, our friend Alex thought we should celebrate that we both had Friday off, so the two of us went to Gertie’s to enjoy the air conditioning and we stayed for all 3 shows!

Today
I filled all of my day with last minute packing and a lot of house cleaning and laundry. We needed the place to be somewhat presentable for our houseguest, Bunny, who flew in this afternoon!
After Jeff was done work, he picked up a couple pizzas, we passed off a set of keys, and we headed out!

Tomorrow we’ll stop in Whitehorse for some groceries and supplies and then we’re off towards British Columbia! The plan is to have a sabbatical full of camping and adventure and exploration.
