I think I’m just mourning the end of the adventures, or maybe the end of the nice weather, or maybe I needed some recovery time, I don’t know, but I’ve been pretty chill this week. Just catching up on some YouTube and TV watching. I haven’t finished cleaning everything out of the truck or getting all my gear put away. Most of it, but not quite all of it.
It’s been chilly and damp.

Hank and I got one longer hike in, at least.

Jeff’s been out moose hunting a few times, but hasn’t had any luck this year yet, and the snow is closing in. It’s already on the hills and it snowed for a bit in town on Friday.
We got the camper winterized, although I’m pretty sure we’d both just rather jump in and head for another adventure.

Jeff’s been getting the boat washed and the motor flushed and put away.

I had a museum board meeting. And we had pizza out with our friend Alex one night. Mmmmm!
And we’ve had northern lights most nights. Here’s some phone pics just from the back door.

I spent an afternoon with a couple friends too, having a lunch out, and then we did crafts!

I saw that Sarah Harmer was performing in town on Friday night, but the tickets have long been sold out. However, they released 7 tickets on Friday afternoon and I pounced and took myself to the show!
Corbin Murdoch, a local resident, did an opening set. He’s a very talented songwriter, singer, and performer!

Then Sarah Harmer sang and played for us. Are you familiar with her? She’s a Canadian singer and songwriter. (wikipedia) I remember her song from the year 2000 the most – Basement Apartment. I’m sure it had a lot of radio play back in the day. Here, see if you recognize it:
We’re really fortunate to be in a small remote town, with a small venue, and have such great talent come to entertain us. I usually don’t go, worried about staying up too late when I have work the next morning, but I’m going to go to more concerts this year, even if I’ve never heard of them. Have you ever went to a live concert and not enjoyed yourself? I haven’t… yet?

Today we’re going to go help a friend move. He’s moving a whole half a block or so, but moving is always better when you don’t need to walk your heavy stuff over to your new pad. I’m also getting my laptop ready for work tomorrow, installing all pending updates, and getting my desk set back up.
