We’ve gone about a week now without any water dripping into our house

(Whew!)

But we have had rain and snow this week so any progress we made on eliminating the ice dam seems to have redeveloped.

Can you see the thick layer of solid ice?

Today was GORGEOUS! I’d say it was our first taste of spring. The sky was clear and the sun was bright. The air was still about -1°C but the icicles were dripping!

Monty and I went out in the yard after I got home from work to check out the icicles. It is hard to walk around back there in the deep snow!

The snow is holding firm to the new shed’s roof.

Monty is getting close to stepping over the deck railing!

Right now we have a Rainfall warning for 50mm before Saturday morning. Will this bust up our ice dam? Or will it bust up our ceilings? Stay tuned…
