Jeff’s parents were just visiting over the last couple of weeks. We played Grandma Stock’s rummy game for the last 3 nights in a row, but never quite made it to the end round! We probably shouldn’t have started from the beginning again each time, but it was fun!
I love spending the evening with a good card game. Reminds me of so many summers at the cottage on the Bruce peninsula.
Yesterday we braved the 32°C weather and went to the beach after lunch!
Poison ivy was starting to grow over the side of the boardwalk!
We didn’t see any piping plovers this time. But we also didn’t walk down the beach too far. I’m pretty sure the temperature of the sand was just about to cross-over into melting into glass range, so we played it safe near the boardwalk.
Jeff’s dad treasure hunted on the beach and I wandered around, amused at the lady who was on her iPad under an umbrella.

Sounds like today should be the last day of this heat. Love the sunshine, but melt in the heat!

Air temp 27? Water temp 18? Wait, that’s impossible, it would be frozen solid at 18 degrees. Water freezes at 32. They must be using metric or something. 14mm is 9/16, I know that from wrenches. 28g is an ounce I know that from, nevermind where I know it from. A centimeter is like a half an inch. But I never learned how to convert temperatures. To me 27 degrees is cold enough to snow, so what does 27 degrees metric translate to in American?
