What a lucky stop! The view!

I was sure we were destined for that same little rec site north of Dease Lake that we stayed at last time, but instead Jeff seemed game to try the Waters Edge Campground just north of the town of Dease Lake.

I hadn’t even looked it up. I saw the Wifi available sign and said let’s check it out!

My dream for this trip was to have us backed up to the water for a night, and I’d say this meets that goal!

This is so beautiful!

There is a boat ramp and wait a second…. I can’t hear the highway! Almost every place we’ve stayed is right beside a highway.

There were horseflies out when we got here, so Jeff declared war and tried to zap them with his racket too.

They said there was a black bear in camp today so we will be extra cautious with leaving anything out. Not that we leave anything out ever.

Oh great, a picture with my hat off. Look away!

Not too eventful today. We slept in, but not long enough for the grocery store to open at 11am. We forgot to get more bread for our lunch sandwiches. Oh well!

Today’s only wildlife spotting was a moose. Well just half a moose. Its butt was in the air and its head was submerged in a pond.

Unless I count the dinosaur at one of the rest stops!

Who knew they still roamed around BC.

Rest areas were our only stops today until the Dease Lake grocery store. I like that place! Everything you could ever need is in there.

Now we are just sitting in our chairs at the back edge of the site. The water is a decent ways down an embankment. But this will do. A nice breeze. The sound of the waves. The sun sparkling off the lake between the trees.

Good night!
