We had a great sleep in the motel last night! We even got to watch an episode of Corner Gas and match up the buildings in scenes with the ones we saw in Rouleau.

We got up and showered.

And then I found two bedbugs.

One was on the thick blanket on the foot of my bed and one in the bathroom where I just took off my pyjamas.

Ok! Skipping the continental breakfast! Get us the hell out of here!

Fortunately we had not brought much into the motel. So we went to the parking lot and put everything that went into the motel into sealed garbage bags.

Then we went to a commercial laundry with professional machines and we put everything in. Even my bathroom cosmetic bag and our backpacks. All of it went through a HOT wash cycle with some tide.

We aren’t itchy. We see no bites. I think that’s all we can do? I’m pretty glad we didn’t haul all our stuff in.

We thought it should remain our little secret but I couldn’t wait to call Jeff and tell him.

Of course, Jeff said, “DON’T FUCKING BLOG ABOUT THIS”.

But how do I not!?!?

I’m guessing no one is going to want us to visit now.

I’ve travelled to many places in this world and stayed in many places. But it took staying in Steinbach, Manitoba to see my first bedbug.

Tonight we are back in the tent. We are in Sandbar Provincial Park near Ignace, Ontario.

We made it to Ontario!!!

And two sites down, there is a live bear trap set.

This is fine.

We went on a nice long walk to explore this park and see the beach.

And now it is getting dark. Good night!
