It’s been mostly cold and rainy this summer so far, and knowing that our fall starts by the third week of August, we’re all in a panic that summer will be over before it began and there is SO MUCH TO DO!
We haven’t had the boat out yet. The river is high. It’s been cold. We’re too busy.
Too many days with highs around 12°C! Brr!
We want to camp and explore more! We camped this past weekend in Whitehorse while I prepped for a colonoscopy, thinking it would be preferable to a hotel. It was cold. I was hungry and grumpy and couldn’t roam far. There is no privacy or space to stretch out. And the urban campground had useless wifi. So I’m not going to count it as a camping trip! At least we were at the back of the RV park against the trees. Hank turned 9 while we were there!
(Side note: Why do I have a memory of giving the medical team a thumbs-up while I was sedated during that procedure?)

We have a lot of house and yard projects that wait until summer every year and then they take away from the available time for fun stuff. Jeff took down our way-too-short and rotten front fence yesterday and has drawn up a list of replacement materials we’ll need to order to rebuild it.

Other pics from the last week:

We had 2 hummingbird moths visiting all the blossoms on a hanging basket yesterday!
