If you’ve ever mailed me a letter, card, invite, postcard, or even stuck a note in my high school locker, I still have it.
Today, out of the blue, I decided to do something about this. Maybe it was the warm weather, or the spring cleaning urge. Out came shoe box after shoe box. I optimistically grabbed an extra large garbage bag… And I filled it!
I tossed almost every single greeting card. Seriously, the greeting card business has made a fortune just from the cards you all have sent me.
I kept the letters because if I start reading them now, I’d never finish the project. I used to write a LOT of letters, between my pen pal in Australia, my Ranger pals, my girl guide camp summers, and my big family, I have a lot of letters. Worth saving for a bit longer.
I took some photos of things I wasn’t sure I was ready to throw out, so at least I have a picture of the memory. Then this happened:
Too late for any sober second thoughts!
But here are some of the photos I took!
